Three Romans is an exhibition of three artists from the capital, Marco Palmieri, Gianni Politi, Emiliano Maggi, that took place at the Lorcan O’Neill Gallery in Rome between 2015 and 2016.
At the closing of the exhibition, on February 11, 2016, Maggi gave a performance entitled Choral Spectral. From the top of the baroque fountain in the gallery courtyard, dressed like one of the fantastic figures present in his works, he sang pieces of his composition for voice, flute, percussion and electronic effects. His interventions alternated with those of the Piccolo Coro della Libera Accademia di Roma, directed by Giovanni Gava, who performed Renaissance music. The choir members were also masked as ghostly figures.
