The presentation of the new book by Dario Argento, a collection of short stories titled Horror. Storie di sangue, spiriti e segreti (Horror. Stories of blood, spirits and secrets), Mondadori, 2018, took place on March 22, 2018.
The event took place at the Biblioteca Angelica, in Piazza S. Agostino, Rome. Founded in 1604, it was the first public library in Europe, and retains about 200,000 volumes including precious manuscripts and incunabula. The beautiful Salone Vanvitelliano hosts the volumes of the Fondo Antico on three different floors, and it is in this setting that the director met his audience. The choice was not accidental: it was here that Argento shot a scene from the film Inferno in 1980, and one of the stories in the collection is also set in this splendid place of culture.
The author was interviewed by the journalist Vittorio Macioce and signed copies of the book, as well as soundtrack albums and DVDs of his films.
Among the audience there were Fiore Argento, daughter of the director, the photographer Franco Bellomo, the writer and screenwriter Antonio Tentori, the directors Claudio Lattanzi and Pupi Oggiano.
